Objectives

SLEEK aims to strengthen Sierra Leone’s capacity to develop a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and the creation of new jobs by enhancing entrepreneurial teaching and learning in HEIs in Sierra Leone. It specifically aims at:

OBJECTIVE 1

To develop a comprehensive entrepreneurship pedagogy curriculum for Sierra Leone educators in order to produce more innovative and practical entrepreneurship courses for HEI students and local entrepreneurs.
 

OBJECTIVE 2

To expand Sierra Leone HEIs' business services to support entrepreneurship educators with innovative teaching methodologies and access to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem in order to integrate the business sector in the educational process.

This will be achieved through a series of well-designed and impactful actions that will contribute to:

  • The development and creation of an Entrepreneurship Academy in each of the Sierra Leone business services or incubators, whose main objectives will be to provide the country qualified teachers and professionals who can empower young people to thrive and develop skills for a future professional life.
  • Improving entrepreneurial learning outcomes, transforming entrepreneurial teaching approaches and accelerating progress in Sierra Leone, while achieving gender equality and inclusion in local communities.
