SLEEK Project Holds Successful Pre-Kick-off Meeting

The SLEEK – Sierra Leone Education in Entrepreneurial pedagogy and sKills - project consortium successfully held its Pre-Kick-off Meeting on January 16th, 2025, setting the groundwork for a promising collaboration co-funded under the Erasmus+ programme.

Organised virtually by the University of Alicante, Project Coordinator, the meeting brought together representatives from all consortium partners from Sierra Leone (the University of Sierra Leone, the University of Management & Technology, the University of Makeni, the Milton Margai University, and Innovation SL), and Europe (the Spanish University of Alicante and the Austrian FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences). 

The session served as a pivotal moment to align expectations, establish a shared vision, and initiate dialogue around the operational framework and objectives of the project.

During the meeting, the consortium reviewed the strategic aims of SLEEK, focusing on strengthen Sierra Leone’s capacity to develop a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem. Partners also delved into the detailed planning of the upcoming Kick-off Meeting, discussed project management procedures, and outlined initial steps for internal communication, quality assurance, and dissemination strategies.

Particular attention was given to refining the work plan and establishing a collaborative environment conducive to achieving the project's impact goals. The open exchange of ideas and perspectives demonstrated the consortium’s commitment to effective cooperation from the outset.

The Pre-Kick-off Meeting confirmed the partners’ strong motivation and enthusiasm to drive forward the SLEEK project’s mission of developping a comprehensive entrepreneurship pedagogy curriculum for Sierra Leone educators to produce more innovative & practical entrepreneurship courses for HEI students & local entrepreneurs- With clear momentum and a unified team spirit, SLEEK is well on its way to contributing meaningfully to the expansion of Sierra Leone HEIs' business services to support entrepreneurship educators with innovative teaching methodologies.
